Friday, July 13th: 9:00 a.m.-11:15 a.m. – (Same location as convention)
Includes your own set of watercolors that you can take home!
Watercolor Class: Learn techniques and tips on teaching watercolor to your children while you have fun and create projects of your own to bring home. A brunch will be served at 10:15 a.m. (yogurt bar with fresh fruit, dried fruit, nuts, and granola).

All Food Included
Friday: Snack (veggie/pita plate with hummus and ranch) and Dinner (Taco/Burrito Bar)
Saturday: Boxed Lunch (sandwich, chips, fruit, cookie) and Snack (granola bars and fruit)
(A water station and water bottles provided, Soft drinks are available for purchase.)

​The University Guest House and Conference Center http://www.universityguesthouse.com/ is offering a discounted visitor rate of $145/night if you call and request it. The University Guest House is a 1.2 mile drive from the Alumni House at the University of Utah. It takes approx 5 minutes to drive and 18 minutes to walk between the 2 properties. The address is 110 Fort Douglas Blvd. Salt Lake City, Utah 84113.

We will not be providing any transportation. You can find information on public transportation, such as bus routes and TRAX routes at rideuta.com. There are trains that run between the airport and the University of Utah. You can also use an UBER driver by downloading the app to your phone.

Thirty-five presentations and classes cover topics such as improving your teaching and parenting skills, incorporating nature study into your homeschool, working with reluctant learners, teaching spelling, and preparing homeschooled children for college. Used Book Sale
This unique used book sale features only books that are on or will be on the Good & the Beautiful book list. Choose from thousands of “very good” to “like new” books for just $2.50 each–all books of high moral, literary, and educational value. Build a home library of the best books at a tremendous savings. Last year, we had 2,000 books, and they were all gone quickly. This year, we will have over 10,000 books! Save up now to build a good and beautiful home library.

New Book Store
In addition to the Used Book Sale, the 2-day convention also has a new book sale, featuring dozens of new books from The Good & the Beautiful book list, including picture books, for $.50 less each than on Amazon.com. Browse and buy! The new book sale will be arranged by reading level, so it is suggested that you test your children’s reading levels before coming (see http://www.jennyphillips.com/good-beautiful-book-list/ for the assessment).

Good & Beautiful Store
Explore and purchase all The Good & the Beautiful curriculum and other products for homeschool families. Knowledgeable people will be at each table to answer questions and demonstrate how the curriculum works.

Convention participants receive the following:

Thank You Note Box: At The Good & the Beautiful, we believe that having children write thank you notes on a regular basis teaches them to be grateful and appreciative of others. It is also good writing practice. We’ve put together a variety of 25 thank you notes and envelopes for your children to choose from when they have someone to thank.

Pre-Order Option
Four weeks before the convention, you will be emailed instructions on how to pre-order curriculum and kits and boxes (receiving the 10% curriculum and 20% off kits and no shipping charge). We will then have your order ready for you to pick up at the convention. We cannot guarantee how long stock will last on certain products at the convention, and there are no rain checks. If we run out of stock on an item at the convention, you cannot receive the discount or free shipping on the item. Pre-ordering guarantees you will receive the items you order!
