About the program
This program focuses on “remembering” what we came here to do and how important this mortal journey is. The program uses spiritual symbolism of the pioneers’ journey to inspire us to be more valiant and devoted disciples of Christ in our own journey today.
To schedule a fireside:
Jenny only takes bookings for stake or multi-stake firesides. To schedule a Fireside Contact Jenny’s scheduling assistant Stephanie Rees at stephanie@jennyphillips.com, or fill out the following form.
FAQs:
Q. Is there a charge for the program/Are travel expenses required?
A. No. But Jenny does require a nursery for her children and the children of couples in her choir (usually around 4-10 children). Jenny asks that no money is given for travel expenses to be in keeping with the church handbook that states that travel expenses for speakers should not be given from ward or stake budgets or from individuals.
Q. What Audio/Visual equipment do we need to provide?
A. None. Jenny brings everything she needs.
Q. Is the fireside done in the chapel or cultural hall?
A. Chapel.
Q. Is it OK to have other parts of the program at the fireside such as talks, video presentations, etc.
A. Jenny is OK with having a stake president/leader speak before or after, or having someone take some time to talk about preparing for trek, etc. However, because of past experience, the attention span of the youth, and with respect to the volunteer choir’s time, Jenny only takes bookings where there is no longer than 15 extra minutes planned besides for prayers, songs, and introduction. Please talk to Stephanie if you have more questions about this.
Q. Are CDs brought to sell or promote?
A. Definitely not. Jenny and her group put on the program in an effort to provide a powerful spiritual experience and draw people closer to Christ. No CDs are sold or mentioned.
*Please no children under 6 in the audience except for babes in arms that can be taken out if needed.
