BOOK "THE PARABLE OF THE PRINCESSES"
Deseret Book will be releasing a book written by Jenny Phillips in the Spring of 2008 called The Parable of the Princesses. Three princesses are taken by their father to a far off place. He leaves them for a time, promising to return. He leaves them with a book, and he asks them each to build a castle for him while he is gone. A mirror in the forest, an entertaining village, and a castle glistening in the distance are combined in a story of an older brother's love and a Father's beautiful plan. A reminder of who we are and why we are here on this earth. Jenny has hand picked a couple of directors that she has known for years to put this moving musical program on for Relief Society events, Women's Conferences, and Young Women's Firesides. The music is a combination of Sisters of Light and some of Jenny's other music. In addition to the music, and a reading of the 15 minute story, the directors talk about staying on the Lord's side of the line and staying close to Him through the power of the scriptures. The director's bring with them the top singers from Jenny's fireside choir. The program lasts about 55 minutes long.
Maryann Martin, a mother of
2 children living in Northern Utah has been performing with Jenny
Phillips for years. Jenny chose Maryanne to direct this program
because of her deep love of the gospel and her ability to portray
the spirit through her beautiful voice and speaking skills.
